The Tamang Heritage Trail can either be completed on its own or in combination with other trails. While most people who combine the Tamang Heritage Trail with other treks such as the Langtang usually begin with the Tamang Heritage Trail, my husband and I joined the trail after completing the Langtang. Locals and experienced hikers will usually recommend starting with the Tamang Heritage Trail first if you plan on completing the Langtang and Gosaikunda Trails, because this way, you can avoid repeating sections of trail and visiting Syrabru Besi more than once. Nevertheless, it’s still possible to add the Tamang Heritage Trail onto the tail end of the Langtang Trail, if you are hankering for some more trekking.
