These are all an introductory rides taking you through the ancient rural villages, monasteries with superb views of the Himalayas. Biking through the rural villages at the valley rim on the back trails with some ups and downhill tracks also provides you sufficient time to immerse in its peaceful surrounding and a chance to see the other back side of Kathmandu. The biking trips within Kathmandu Valley allow you to enjoy its hidden pockets rarely frequented by the trekkers. These trips are especially designed to allows you the opportunity to experience as much of Nepal as possible in a week holiday which incorporate visits to Nepal’s historic cities, hill resorts, temples, monasteries and picturesque villages tucked away in the forests along the way.

A: Katmandu-Bhaktapur- Nagarkot:

Day 1: Kathmandu-Bhaktapur-Nagarkot (38km/0600m): After an early morning breakfast in Kathmandu we head east to the medieval town of Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur is an ancient city, full of Newari art and cultural heritage. There are many temples and palace squares here for you to explore. From here we head northeast to Nagarkot on an excellent and quiet tarmac road. We gradually climb 20km uphill to Nagarkot, on the valley rim, passing steeply terraced farmland and houses that seem to be clinging to the hillside. When we reach the summit we will be rewarded with the panoramic views of the snowy peaks of the Himalayas including a distant pyramid of Mount Everest (depending on weather condition). We stay in a beautiful guesthouse on the ridge.


Day 2: Nagarkot To Bhaktapur And Changu Narayan (34km)
The day starts with an exciting descent on single track. We pass through many rustic villages, with the mountain views following us! We reach the ancient Hindu temple complex of Changu Narayan where beautiful stone carvings dating from the 6th and 7th centuries, made by the Newari artisans of that time, can be found. From here we continue downhill to Bhaktapur where we stop for a lunch. We then return to Kathmandu via the old road stopping at the medieval town of Thimi, famous for its traditional masks and pottery.

 

B :Kathmandu- Bhaktapur- Nagarkot:

Day 1: Kathmandu-Bhaktapur-Nagarkot (38km/0600m)

Day 2: Nagarkot - Sankhu - Boudhanath - Kathmandu (34km with 200m altitude gain): The day starts with an exciting descent on Jeep tracks. We pass through many rustic villages, while the views of the Himalayas follow you on the right side on clear day! We reach the beautiful ancient village of Shankhu. Here we will visit the beautiful temple of Vajrajogini. From here we are on tarmac road towards Boudhanath Stupa, where we will have lunch and then ride back to Kathmandu or ride towards (Budhanilkantha) sleeping Vishnu temple and then back to Thamel
