The India Himalaya journey is the perfect introduction to many of India’s most stunning Himalayan panorama, sites and landscape.  This program incorporates visits to many cultural sites including a full day sightseeing of India’s capital city of Delhi from where we then set off to the Himalayan foothills along the former grand trunk road (stretching all the way from the capital Calcutta to the fabled northwest frontier) and finally arriving to the charming town of Pragpur (commonly referred to as the Heritage village because of its charm and beauty) in the Kangra valley. After a full day exploration of Pragpur the tour then heads by road to Kullu valley (sometime referred to as the “end of the habitable world) and beyond which raises the forbidding heights of the Greater Himalayas. This valley with majestic mountain vistas is undoubtedly one of most beautiful regions of India. We have two full days of exploration and sightseeing of this remarkably mesmerizing valley before heading further to Simla (the former summer capital of British Raj preached on the ridge at 2,213m) via the Rohtang Pass (3,985m) where we will have a full day sightseeing activities before finally driving back to Delhi where our trip concludes and from where we board on the international flight for our onward journey.
