Golden Triangle tour is a comprehensive India travel / tour itinerary designed to give you the full exposure of India’s most fascinating and ancient cities having both historical and architectural marvels. Popularly known as the three jewels of India; namely Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, the jewels of India have a history of their own and are known worldwide for their rich and unique cultural heritage. Historically Delhi- the capital city of India has been the dwelling of eight subsequent empires who contributed significantly to the development and architectural foundations of the city. Most notable among them remain the magnificent Red fort, Jama Masjid, Humayun’s tomb, India gate, Raj Ghat and the Rashtrapati Bhawan (presidential building). All these monuments and their superb design exhibit the extent of sophistication the ruler of the past had in laying the foundation of the present day capital city of India.
Following the initial sightseeing of Delhi the Golden Triangle Luxury Tour then proceeds to the epically ancient city of Agra. Lying on the banks of the Yamuna River in the northern state of Utter Pradesh. This fable city of Agra had once been the capital of Mugal emperors which today remains one of the major tourist destinations in India. Its splendid Mughal-era buildings, most notably among those: the Taj Mahal, Agra fort and Fatehpur Sikri ( all of which are today listed in the UNESCO world heritage sites) truly display the golden age of this city it once lived through. After completing the sightseeing of these ancient and colourful cities we then drive to Jaipur where in spite of visiting the enchantingly beautiful monuments and palaces exhibiting the fine blend of Rajasthani and Mugal architecture we also enjoy a unique and momentous joy ride on an elephant back up to the 17th century Amber fort. Set in a picturesque location the fort represents a fascinating blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture, in red sandstone and white marble. The trip then finally concludes in Delhi from where we board on a flight to our onward destination.
