The Classical India from Maharajas’ Express is yet another fascinating sojourn taking you through some of the most sought-after travel destinations of India. Embarking off from Delhi’s Safardiung Railway station, the journey then takes us to Agra (the jewel of India as it is commonly referred to) where we will have an overnight on board the luxurious Maharaja’s Express before setting out for an extensive sightseeing of the city the following day; including a tour to immortal Taj Mahal. From Agra the journey takes us to the glorious city of Gwalior where we will enjoy a tour of many temples, palaces and monuments. The following day the journey proceeds to Khajuraho – Bandhavgarh National Park, before finally arriving to the sacred city of Varanasi where you will have the opportunity to cruise on the River Ganges and also to soak in the spirits of this ancient city whose religious significance dates back to some 3000 years ago. After exploring Gaya with its rich cultural past, our journey subsequently ends in the ‘city of joy’ Kolkata where we still have some time to take in the beauty of this vibrant city with its classical and distinct imperial flavor.
