Day 03: Early morning Yoga / Meditation class at the Thamel Eco Resort followed by breakfast and we start a day long sightseeing tour of Patan and Bhaktapur cities.
Patan
Patan is separated from Kathmandu by the Bagmati River and is the second largest town in the valley. It has historically been known by its Sanskrit name Lalitpur (City of Beauty) and its Newari name, Yala. Patan's Durbar Sq is full of temples, with a far greater concentration of architecture per square meter than in Kathmandu or Bhaktapur. There are more than 600 stupas and 185 bahals scattered throughout the fascinating backstreets making the city a perfect choice for the discerning visitors.
Bhaktapur
Known as the city of Devotees, Bhaktapur is the third major town within Kathmandu valley. This traffic free and traditionally intact town is also in many ways the most timeless and is certainly more pleasurable walking in. The cobblestone streets link a string of temples, courtyards and monumental squares, and the sidestreets are peppered with shrines, wells and water tanks. The town's cultural life is also vibrant, with centuries-old traditions of craftsmanship and strong communities of potters, woodcarvers and weavers. Look for rice laid out to dry in the sun, people collecting water or washing under the communal taps, dyed yarns hung out to dry, children's games, fascinating shops and women pounding grain - there's plenty to see.
Today, we will have a lunch break either in Patan or Bhaktapur itself and return to the hotel in the early evening. After some rest we will then assemble in a special hall for meditation discourse from Dr. Chintamani Gautam, our Yoga teacher. And after dinner we will assemble again for classic meditation practice as taught by Dr. Gautam, for an hour before retiring to the bed.
Day 04: Trek to Chisapani. (2194 m.) 5 hrs:
After the early morning Yoga session in Thamel Eco Resort, followed by breakfast, we drive to Sundarijal from where we start our hike to Chisapani. The hike is quite easy except for some length of uphill ascend through the unspoiled forest and excellent mountain views along. The uphill section of the hike goes through the Shivapurai national park. On the way we pass through some ethnic settlements, otherwise the walk is mostly through forests .Once we reach Chisapani at the end of the hike, cool and beautiful hill with close view of eastern Himalayas will greet us. In Chisapani we stay in one of the basic lodge and practice today’s session of Meditation as taught by our expert instructor, Dr. Chintamani Gautam. Dinner and overnight at Chisapani.

Today’s walk is through very lovely, dense forest and a non touristy trail in totally natural atmosphere. During the winter, wildlives- specially spotted deers and wild fowls are usually spotted as they come out of the forest in the open sun. We take our picnic lunch en route. After arriving to Nagarkot, the rest of the day is kept at leisure or self exploration before joining in today’s session of Meditation in the late afternoon where Dr. Gautam leads the session as usual.
Day 06: Nagarkot – Kathmandu
We will have a rather early start today for the majestic sunrise view over Nepal’s eastern Himalayas. Located some 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu, the resort town of Nagarkot is one of the most scenic spots and is renowned for its spectacular sunrise view of the Himalaya when the weather is clear. It has become famous as one of the best spots to view Mount Everest as well as other snow-topped peaks of the eastern Nepal Himalayan range. It also offers an excellent view of the Indrawati river valley to the east. With an elevation of 2,195 meters, Nagarkot also offers a panoramic view of the Valley and is described by visitors as a place whose beauty endures year round.
Following the Sun rise view we get ready for today’s Yoga session and have our breakfast.
